This course introduces students to passive weather systems used on-board aircraft, weather radar, and radar altimeters with associated antennas. Topics include tactical navigation, passive weather detection, collision avoidance systems, and the roll of the FAA's reduced vertical separation minimums and terrain awareness systems. Upon completion, students should be able to identify weather radar, installation requirements, testing considerations and identify the requirements for collision avoidance. 2020FA - New Course (S24599) |
